The captain of the Ship, Dr. Glenn is Director of the Institute of Bioinformatics and Interim Head of the Department of Environmental Health Science (EHS) at the University of Georgia

Who are we?

Welcome to the EHS DNA Lab webpage, BadDNA@UGA. We are located in the Department of Environmental Health Science (EHS), which is part of College of Public Health at the University of Georgia. We develop and implement DNA tools to solve problems in environmental health.

What do we do?

Our work focuses on leveraging Next-Generation Sequencing to test hypotheses and solve problems.  We specialize in hybridization capture and sample preparation for Illumina sequencing. Our multi-institutional team developed UCE sequence capture, now with commercially available baits from Arbor Biosciences, and the Adapterama system. All of our methods and protocols are open-source, but you can also obtain aliquots of our reagents or help with your samples.

Current Work

We have projects funded by the CDC, NIH, and other federal agencies. We also collaborate widely and provide reagents and services to solve problems in Ecology, Evolution, Environmental Health and Toxicology.
